Bell & Ross BR V3-94 Black Steel

Bell & Ross now offers a new pilot’s chronograph for aviation enthusiasts. It goes by the name “V3-94 Black Steel” and is part of the brand’s Vintage Collection.

The “V3” in the name indicates the third generation within the vintage collection. While the V1 line focuses solely on three-hand watches with smaller diameters, the V2 line adds further features such as bezel, GMT function or chronograph complication. The V3 line doesn’t really differ much from the V2 chronographs, but adds another 2mm in diameter.

With the new BR V3-94 you are definitely on the safe side in terms of complications. In addition to the obvious chronograph with its sub dials at 6 and 9 o’clock, you’ll also find a tachymeter scale that, with a little mental arithmetic, allows you to determine an average speed over a certain distance. There is also a date aperture at 4:30 o’clock.

The chronograph has a very tool-y appearance due to its black and white dial and largely brushed case. However, the sporty look is somewhat loosened up by the polished middle links of the stainless steel bracelet and the polished flanks of the case.

The watch comes either on a black calfskin strap with carbon effect or, for an additional charge of 300€, on a stainless steel bracelet.
