Eberhard & Co. Celebrate 135 Years of Uninterrupted History with the Scafograf 200 LE

In the late 1800s, Georges-Lucien Eberhard opened his first watchmaking workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. In a few short years his operation grew and grew, and, by 1887 that first workshop was transformed into the manufacture to which Georges-Lucien gave his name – Eberhard & Co.

For the last 135 years, horology has remained the focus of Eberhard & Co. With the ongoing pursuit for technical and aesthetic evolution, excellence and innovation allowing George-Lucien’s name sake to weather the watchmaking storms of the 20th century and be able to stake claim to an uninterrupted history.

From the low volume, high quality pocket watches created for the most discerning of customers in the 1880s, to the increasing rugged tool watches developed for explorers, pilots, divers and engineers throughout the 20th century – Eberhard & Co. is able to draw inspiration from an incredible heritage of exceptionally well engineered timepieces which they have produced uninterrupted for 135 years.

To celebrate this anniversary, Eberhard & Co. have created a very special edition of the Scafograf 200, limited to just 135 pieces.

Launched in 1959 to meet the needs of professional divers, the SCAFOGRAF collection is one of Eberhard & Co.’s great successes, with a range of instruments for professional and enthusiast divers being produced in La Chaux-de-Fonds through the later half of the 20th and into the 21st century.

And following this long tradition of purposeful underwater dive tools, Eberhard & Co. have created a modern timekeeper that’s as at home in the water as it is on dry land to celebrate its 135th anniversary – the SCAFOGRAF 200, a DLC coated stainless steel diver with vintage luminova that’s limited to just 135 pieces.

The Scafograf 200 Limited Edition is a 43mm carbon coated stainless steel diver. That’s right – black case, black ceramic bezel, black dial, and black 21mm rubber strap or DLC coated stainless steel bracelet with deployant.

For contrast those ingenious watchmakers at Eberhard & Co. have equipped the dial, hands and bezel with high grade vintage coloured luminova, to ensure that night time operations run smoothly.

Powered by a Sellita automatic movement, the limited edition Scafograf 200 enjoys 200m of water resistance and features a screw down crown, anti-reflective sapphire crystal and an engraved starfish on the case-back.

A rare, handsome and rugged choice whether diving in the ocean or lost in a sea of paperwork – the Eberhard & Co. Scafograf 200 135th Anniversary Limited Edition is available now with an MRSP of Euro 3’780 on a rubber strap or Euro 4’960 with steel bracelet and deployment clasp Déclic® (Patented) with DLC® treatment.
