Glashütte Original Sixties Annual Edition 2020

Glashütte Original’s Vintage line includes the Sixities and Seventies collections, one with round and one with square-shaped cases. As the name already suggests, the former one – a descendant of the Spezimatic series – picks up on the design language of the Swinging Sixties. Characteristics of the watches that immediately catches the eye are the strikingly italicised Arabic numerals, together with the domed sapphire crystal and the curved hands.

With the newly introduced “Sixties Annual Edition 2020”, another (sixth) colour has now been added to the Vintage line: Glacier blue. The elaborately crafted Dégradé dials come from Glashütte Original’s proprietary workshop in Pforzheim, enabling Glashütte Original to achieve a superb quality and a level of vertical integration close to 95%.

Automatic inhouse calibers from Glashütte

The tried-and-tested automatic inhouse caliber 39-52 (or 39-34 for the chronograph), which has already been fitted into previous Sixties annual edition watches, boasts a great deal of Glashütte watchmaking skills: the Glashütte three-quarter plate, the elegant stripe finish and, last but not least, the notorious swan-neck fine adjustment.
