H. Moser & Cie. and MB&F join forces: New Endeavour Cylindrical Tourbillon and LM101 watches

Friends and business partners: Maximilian Büsser (l.) and Edouard Meylan (r.).

When two of the biggest nonconformists in the Swiss watch industry join forces, you have every reason to believe that something great must come of it. Well, this is exactly what happened with H. Moser & Cie and Max Büsser & Friends, a duo of the boldest Swiss independents, and their latest joint project called “H. Moser x MB&F”.

135 watches stemming from 2 new collections

The two mavericks Meylan and Büsser have been close in both private and work life for many years and share a mutual history of exchanging watch parts, e.g. through Precision Engineering AG, a Moser company.

This bond is now being taken to a completely new level, namely through two joint watch collections: the Endeavour Cylindrical Tourbillon and the LM101. Simply put: The former is essentially a Moser watch with MB&F elements, while the latter is vice versa a MB&F watch with Moser elements.

For the first watch, the H. Moser Endeavour was taken as a base, although not much has remained of its original design. The elegant minimalist aesthetics of the Endeavour line were combined with the dramatic “dome” of the MB&F FlyingT. As a result, the slanted dial and tourbillon complication are now housed beneath the spectacularly curved glass of the Endeavour.

The watch is available in five different colours, each limited to 15 pieces.

The second watch is the Legacy Machine LM101 by MB&F. The LM101 is already recognizable as such at first glance due to its arching bridge and the resulting almost floating balance wheel. New, however, is the characteristic Fumé dial, which runs like a common thread through Moser’s collections and can justifiably be seen as the brand’s main design characteristic.

The LM101 is available in four different colours of 15 pieces each.
