Introducing the MeisterSinger Neo and NeoPlus Azure

The MeisterSinger Neo is unashamedly inspired by simple, elegant timepieces of the 1960s. So it should be no surprise to see a touch of 60s Americana injected into the collection, with the introduction of the 36mm MeisterSinger Neo Azure and the 40mm MeisterSinger Neo Plus Black/Azure.

Launched 10 years after the first Neo models entered the collection, the updated Neo and Neo plus, with their beautiful new dials – azure with black and white details for the Neo and Black with Azure and white details for the Neo Plus – are a continuation of the perfectly balanced MeisterSinger Neo that we know and love, with the large needle hand marking off the time in 5-minute segments, and a subtle date window at six.

As with all MeisterSinger watches, the printed 144 segment track that skirts the edge of the dial denotes the passing of time in 5 minute units, the slightly larger markers show the quarter and half hour, and the longest markers (black on the Neo and Azure on the Neo Plus) capped with double digits display the hours. The bezel-free case design, combined with a domed crystal allowing an uninterrupted view right to the very edge of the dial.

Designed at MeisterSinger’s HQ in Münster, the Neo and Neo Plus are constructed in Switzerland, and fitted with high quality Swiss Made movements. In this instance, the stainless steel 36mm Neo and the 40mm Neo Plus have been equipped with the reliable, robust, and slim automatic Sellita SW200, which keeps the case thickness down to just 9.7mm.

Both models share a 20mm lug width and come fitted with vintage inspired straps with side stitching – black suede leather for the Neo, and black Cordovan leather for the Neo Plus. An optional Milanese bracelet is available at additional cost. 3ATM of water resistance give the Neo a splash proof rating (you’re fine to wash your hands or get caught in the rain), although the luxurious natural materials used in those straps are probably more suited to dry weather activities.
