New Noble Designs: Eberhard & Co. Presents the Scafograf 300 “MCMLIX” Watch in a New Guise

The Swiss Maison strikes again! This autumn, Eberhard & Co. are enchanting watch lovers with a new model in the Scafograf collection: The Scafograf 300 “MCMLIX” Blue.

The Creation of a New Line: The Scafograf Collection

Since 1887, Eberhard & Co. has been synonymous with excellence and innovation. The Swiss company is distinguished by its elegant and luxurious timepieces with high technical standards. These qualities are naturally reflected in the Scafograf collection. The brand created the first Scafograf in 1959 to meet the growing demand for diver’s watches. After the launch of the first two models, the Scafograf 100 and Scafograf 200 (water-resistant to 100 and 200 metres respectively), the Scafograf 300 was presented. This watch and its further developments have now become one of the most successful models from the La Chaux-de-Fonds-based manufacturer. In 2016, driven by its desire for constant research and innovation, Eberhard & Co. designed a new edition of the Scafograf 300. This modern version was awarded the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, the most coveted prize in fine watchmaking, the very same year. In 2020, it was the turn of the Scafograf 300 “MCMLIX” model. In this anniversary series, the Roman numerals “MCMLIX” are stamped on the dial, indicating the year of birth of the collection (1959).

The Scafograf 300 MCMLIX Blue Watch

This autumn, Eberhard & Co. has decided to launch the Scafograf 300 “MCMLIX” edition in blue. This diver’s watch (like the model before it) bears the year of its original launch in its name by being circumscribed in Roman numerals and has a blue Galbe dial, the signature colour of Eberhard & Co.

The Scafograf 300 “MCMLIX” Edition Blue

The Scafograf 300 “MCMLIX” is a tribute to the colours, style and year of the very first Scafograf. The choice of luminescent applied hour markers and cardinal points, in particular, make this model a real eye-catcher, full of prestige and elegance. In this blue version, the self-winding mechanical movement is housed in a steel case measuring 43 mm in diameter, equipped with a domed sapphire crystal and an automatic helium escape valve at 9 o’clock. The unidirectional ceramic bezel, also in blue, features “vintage” luminescence on the first quarter of the minute scale and the screw-in case back is decorated with a starfish, the emblem of the collection.
