The Insane Watch Collection Of Kevin Hart

Spotting beautiful watches on a Hollywood red carpet is certainly not difficult. On the one hand, of course, because most of the personalities to be found there live on the sunny side of life, but also because luxury watch brands love to lend their models to selected brand ambassadors for an evening.

For years, one person has easily managed for us to stand out for miles in this sea of Rolex, IWC, Cartier and Breitling watches, though: US actor and comedian Kevin Hart. He has been impressing watch communities around the world with his opulent timepieces for quite some time now, strutting across the carpet with one after the other crazy piece on his wrist. Hart turns out to be a true watch fanatic, because the watches that Hart also owns in his private life are quite impressive – even by Hollywood standards.

We have selected six watches that we think best illustrate how serious Kevin Hart’s watch game really is.

Patek Philippe Celestial 6102R

The Patek Philippe Celestial is one of the grandes complications of the house, whose watches are already among the best in the world. What makes this watch from 2015 stand out is the fact that the dial has been enhanced with a rotating chart of stars, allowing Hart to admire the exact configuration of the nocturnal sky in the northern hemisphere. As such, the Ref. 6102R joins the historic ranks of astronomical Patek Philippe watches. However, what looks spectacular also comes at a price: Due to its intricate mechanism and 44mm rose gold case, the watch comes with a hefty MSRP of €275,090.

Rolex Daytona Rainbow 116595RBOW

No watch expresses “extroverted multi-millionaire” better than the Rolex Daytona in the colourful Rainbow variant. The perfect choice for Hart then, who is known to have the gift of the gab. The case made of Everose gold measures 40mm in diameter and is lavishly studded with precious stones on the lugs as well as on the bezel and dial, which sends the price skyrocketing. Oddly enough, despite an RRP of around €90,000, the chronograph is apparently so popular that the model changes hands on the secondary market at prices of between €300,000 – €400,000.

Patek Philippe 5960G-010

At some point we stopped counting how many Patek Philippe watches he owns, but the next watch once again underlines the level of watch obsession Hart displays. The Patek Philippe 5960 (from 2006) is indeed not only the brand’s first self-winding chronograph with an annual calendar, but in his case also a limited edition watch of which only 100 were produced. Hart seems to be well connected in the watch world, because limited Patek watches usually sell like hot cakes. In the case of the 5960G-010, it is a watch for the Russian concessionaire Mercury Russia, which opened a new Moscow boutique in 2013. The color scheme of blue, white and red was chosen in reference to the Russian flag.

Richard Mille RM 11-01 Roberto Mancini

What can’t be missing in a well-equipped watch collection that seems to get by without any budget restrictions? Well, a Richard Mille of course. Hart has opted for the RM 11-01 “Roberto Mancini” in gold, which owes its name to a former Italian football player and current coach. This reference is not only a flyback chronograph, but it was also specially developed for the needs of football coaches, so that aspects such as extra time can be measured separately.

Rolex Day-Date II Ref. 218398

Rolex watches from the Day-Date collection are never cheap, that is for sure. However, Hart has tracked down the discontinued reference 218398 that, thanks to a few modifications, asks for some extra cash. The 18-karat yellow gold case of the Day-Date II, originally launched in 2008, features a champagne-coloured dial set with eight factory baguette-cut diamonds and two baguette-cut rubies at 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock. The highlight, however, is the sparkling bezel, which makes the watch a real eye-catcher thanks to 80 additional diamonds. RRP (back then): around €80,000

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Openworked Selfwinding

In addition to Patek Philippe, Hart also seems to be an avid fan of Audemars Piguet, particularly so of the iconic Royal Oak models. Of course, his credo applies here too: the more exclusive, the better. In addition to a perpetual calendar made of black ceramic or a golden Royal Oak Concept, Hart is also the proud owner of a skeletonised Royal Oak, which was presented by AP in 2014. The open-worked dial makes it possible to marvel at the movement from both sides, which is only possible with a small fraction of all Royal Oak models.
