With the holiday season upon us, you’re undoubtedly looking for a unique gift for that special someone in your life. It has to echo their personality, it has to bring joy whenever they look at it and must be something that no one else has. If your recipient is a watch lover, meeting the first two criteria is relatively simple, but finding something truly unique can be ostensibly a real challenge.
Step in B.R.M Chronographes – who under the direction of CEO Bernard Richards have been producing spectacularly singular pieces of horology in France since 2003 – with the R50-N-Art Car, an ultra limited edition of just 12 unique timepieces.
The latest addition to B.R.M.’s colourful Art Car collection – the R50-N combines the engineering ingenuity of the R50 with the colourful exuberance of the pop-art inspired race cars of the 1970s and 80s.
Constructed of black PVD (physical vapor deposition) coated titanium, with colour lacquer applied by hand, the 50mm case houses a B.R.M signature, in-house designed, developed and produced skeletonised automatic movement, with fuel gauge inspired power reserve.
Mounted to a trio of carbon fibre triangular built to reduce the impact of shocks and jolts, the R50 when fully wound will keep running for 48 hours, and thanks to its touch titanium case is water resistant to 100 meters.
Technical innovation aside, the stunning B.R.M. R50-N-Art Car is awash with colourful detail, from hand lacquered movement components and perforated, lightweight hands, to UV ink printed sapphire crystal, and hand stitched Alcantara® strap, that’s sure to make you stand out from the crowd in the pit-lane or whilst keenly enjoying a celebratory drink after the race.
A fantastic Christmas treat, but with only 12 available distinguished pieces, so you’ll need to move faster than Santa Claus to put a B.R.M. R50-N-Art Car under your tree.
