Unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2023 to mark sixty years of the Cosmograph Daytona, the 126500LN arrived as a thorough refinement rather than a reinvention. The 40mm Oystersteel case now pairs with a black Cerachrom ceramic bezel, replacing the aluminium insert of earlier generations with a material that is effectively scratchproof and colourfast for life. The tachymeter scale is filled with platinum via PVD, a finishing detail that defines the reference at a glance.

At the heart sits the upgraded Calibre 4131, a self-winding COSC-certified chronograph movement with a 72-hour power reserve, column wheel, vertical clutch, and a Parachrom hairspring for resistance to magnetic fields. The white gold hour markers and hands add a warmth that steel alone cannot.

This is the steel sports chronograph that authorised dealers cannot keep in their cases and that holds its value exceptionally well on the secondary market.
