Presented here on the sporty three-link Oyster bracelet, the only configuration this reference ever came in.

The nickname writes itself. When Rolex debuted the 116710BLNR at Baselworld in 2013, it introduced something the brand had previously declared impossible: a two-tone ceramic bezel. The blue and black Cerachrom insert, achieved through a patented single-ring chemical treatment process, immediately earned its superhero moniker and never let it go.

Inside runs the Calibre 3186 with a Parachrom hairspring, 48-hour power reserve, and independently adjustable hour hand for rapid timezone changes. The Maxi dial features oversized Chromalight markers with a blue 24-hour GMT hand that nods directly to the bezel above it.

Crucially, the 116710BLNR was discontinued when its successor arrived on a Jubilee bracelet. The community promptly renamed the new version the Batgirl, and the original Oyster bracelet Batman became what it is today: a closed chapter in Rolex history, and a firmly sought-after collector's reference. John Mayer, Roger Federer and Rob Lowe have all worn one.

A discontinued reference with a legendary nickname. It holds its value exceptionally well.
