The Rolex Explorer II reference 216570 is a 42 mm automatic dual-time watch in Oystersteel, with a fixed, engraved 24-hour steel bezel and matching Oyster bracelet. It is powered by the Rolex calibre 3187 automatic movement with approximately 48 hours of power reserve and features an independently adjustable orange 24-hour GMT hand, a date display without Cyclops lens, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and water resistance to 100 metres.

The Rolex 216570 is available in white ("Polar") and black dial configurations. It is fitted with the matching three-link Oyster bracelet. This reference was produced from 2011 to 2021, before Rolex introduced the current 226570 generation with the newer calibre 3285 movement.
