BVLGARI – Le Raffinement Suprême
La splendeur de Rome résonne incontestablement dans les créations artisanales de la marque de joaillerie italienne BVLGARI. Le fondateur de la marque, Sotirios Voulgaris, est né en Grèce. En 1884, il s’installe à Rome et change son nom en Sotirio BVLGARI. Sa ville d’adoption lui a inspiré la création de montres étonnantes qui intègrent quelques-uns des symboles les plus célèbres de Rome. Ces motifs sont encore utilisés par BVLGARI de nos jours. Quant au plus représentatif de ces symboles, c’est la lettre latine « V » qui symbolise le logo officiel de la marque. La lettre vient de l’alphabet latin pour « U » dans BVLGARI, tout en rappelant de manière subtile l’origine du Fondateur.
Les plus anciennes montres de la Société qui existent aujourd’hui remontent aux années 1920. Cependant, sa collection de montres la plus emblématique, la Serpenti, n’a été présentée pour la première fois que dans les années 1940. Une collection de montres à part entière, la BVLGARI Serpenti se caractérise par sa boîte, qui s’inspire d’une tête de serpent et est ornée d’or et de joyaux.
Quand la Rome antique rencontre l’horlogerie suisse modern
Les montres Bulgari allient l’esthétique de Rome et l’artisanat de l’horlogerie suisse moderne. Depuis 1980, les montres Bulgari sont créées par Haute Horlogerie SA à Neuchâtel, Suisse, tandis que le centre de design reste en Italie. Les vestiges de Rome ne sont pas difficiles à trouver dans les montres Bulgari, par exemple, le design de la collection BVLGARI BVGARI s’inspire des anciennes pièces romaines et des colonnes des temples romains. L’entreprise familiale a connu des changements profonds en 2011 lorsque le Groupe LVMH a acquis 51% du capital de BVLGARI. Actuellement, BVLGAR est une filiale à part entière du groupe LVMH, la famille Bulgari ayant vendu ses actions restantes à LVMH pour 236,7 millions d’euros.

Diagono
La Bulgari Diagono appartient à la famille des montres de sport élégantes. BVLGARI – The Ultimate Refinement
There is no doubt that Rome resounds in full splendour in the handcrafts of the Italian jewellery brand – BVLGARI. The Brand’s founder, Sotirios Voulgaris, was born in Greece. In 1884, he settled in Rome and changed his name to Sotirio BVLGARI. His adopted home city inspired him to create astonishing watches that incorporate some of Rome’s most famous symbols. These motifs are still utilised by BVLGARI nowadays. As for the most representative one from these symbols, it has to be the Latin “V”, which is emblematic of the Brand’s official logo. When Ancient Rome Meets Modern Swiss Watchmaking
Bulgari watches bring together the aesthetics of Rome and craftsmanship of modern Swiss watchmaking. Since 1980, Bulgari watches are created by Haute Horlogerie SA in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, while the design hub remains in Italy. Traces of Rome are not hard to find in Bulgari timepieces, for instance, the design of the BVLGARI BVGARI collection drew inspiration from ancient Roman coins and columns from the Roman temples. Although Bulgari establishes its name in the jewellery segment, its watches are not secondary to the dazzling creations, The arrival of the Diagono, the first men’s watch, broke with this tradition with its elegant sport watch look, that could rival the likes of Patek Philippe Nautilus and the Royal Oak. Sixteen years later the Company produced the first watch that was manufactured entirely in-house, the Grandes Complications. The family-run company faced fundamental changes in 2011 when the LVMH Group purchased a 51% stake in BVLGARI. Currently, BVLGAR is a full subsidiary of the LVMH Group, as the Bulgari family sold its remaining shares to LVMH for EUR 236.7 million.
