In a thrilling final, the Squadra Azzurra defeated the English national team in the final of the European Football Championship. Congratulations!
However, besides the great sporting achievements, we couldn’t help but focus on a striking blue accessory that we spotted on the wrist of the newly crowned champion coach Roberto Mancini: an azure Richard Mille.
Roberto Mancini and Richard Mille go way back. As early as 2013, the exclusive Swiss brand honored the Italian national football coach with a dedicated model. It was not only capable of tracking both 45-minute halves, but also extra time and overtime – in other words, everything a coach needs to know. (By the way, this watch can be found on the wrist of a well-known US comedian, see here).
Also its successor, the “RM 11-04 Automatic Flyback Chronograph Roberto Mancini”, comes in a tonneau-shaped case made of Carbon TPT. Like damascus steel, this material really catches the eye with its unusual layered structure. In terms of design, the high-performance watch naturally picks up on the colors of Italy’s tricolor, but adds to that the iconic blue of the national team, gli azzurri.
The skeletonized automatic movement RMAC3 boasts a flyback chronograph, a particularly sophisticated form of a chronograph that allows the stopping, resetting and restarting of the timekeeping device with just a single push of a button. In addition, Richard Mille included an annual calendar with a big date aperture, turning the RM 11-04 into a true potpourri of wild complications.
According to RM, the watch is priced at $189,000. However, due to its high popularity and demand, the watch is so rare on the second-hand market and hence hard to get that prices only start at over half a million euros. Given Mancini’s recent success, this is not likely to change anytime soon either.

The classiest brand ambassador so far, bravo Richard Mille. A true gentleman and sportsman!
