Federico Talks Watches gets Hands-On With the Montredo x Squale 1521

A little earlier this year we joined forces with Swiss dive watch legends Squale, to produce our first collaboration – the Montredo x Squale 1521. Limited to just 50 pieces, and available exclusively from Montredo.

Using the Squale 1521 Militaire, with its solid case back, sapphire crystal and 50ATM water resistance as a starting point, we worked with the team at Squale to create a simplified bezel, unique dial design and customised hand set. A rugged diver with on-shore appeal, that we’ve come to know as the “Urban Shark”.

Being watch fans ourselves, we were super excited to release this piece, and have loved seeing it pop up on social media. But we wondered what a real hardcore watch fan who doesn’t hold back would make of it, so we loaned our demo watch to our friend Federico, of Federico Talks Watches for a hands-on review.

This isn’t a paid post and we didn’t let him keep the watch, so what you’re about to see and hear are his true feelings about the Montredo x Squale 1521 – good, bad, and ugly!

Spoiler Alert: He kinda liked it!

If you’d like to get your hands on a limited production Montredo x Squale 1521, we still have a handful available, and ready to ship – but you’ll need to move fast – once they’re gone, they’re gone!
